Responsibilities:
This QA position is within the Dolby Cinema business group. The candidate hired will be responsible for automating smoke, functional and stress test scenarios. They will also contribute to Dolby Atmos Content Creation and DMP software releases by designing test cases and performing manual tests.
Qualifications:
- MS or BS in computer engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years professional experience in software testing or development
- Working knowledge of professional audio post production workflows
- Working knowledge of evaluation methods used in the design, development, and debugging and testing of hardware and software systems
- Excellent written and verbal skills
Test Automation Programming
Required skills:
- OS X/Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems
- Python, (Perl, Bash, and TCL a plus)
- Network protocols including TCP/IP, SSH, SLP, NTP, FTP, PPP, HTML, XML, Web service, SNMP, and SOAP
- Automation tools including Silenium
Audio Technology Experience
Preferably familiar with the following technologies and standards:
- Complex professional audio technology workflows
- Pro Tools
- Mastering audio for film
- Digital audio technologies including PCM, AC3, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD
- 3rd party kit testing
- Stimulus Design
- Audio Performance testing (Familiarity with AP testing)
