Responsibilities:
Dolby Australia continues to grow into 2014 with the opening of several key engineering positions; for this position, we invite applications from outstanding candidates for the role of Senior Software Engineer within the E-media Technology Engineering Team. In E-Media we are focused on applications and software that end up in portable devices used by millions of consumers around the world every day.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is keen to work on cutting edge audio and video software for use on the latest portable consumer electronics gadgets, including smartphones and tablets. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in C/C++, along with a methodical and organized mindset, with strong attention to detail. We want someone who has a good understanding of product, but who also has strong engineering skills.
Qualifications:
Specifically, key requirements & attributes for the successful applicant include:
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering or equivalent;
- 3+ years commercial software Engineering experience;
- Demonstrated strong programming skills in C or C++ language programming;
- A genuine interest in Mobile technology, Audio, Video or E-Media development;
- Methodical and organized approach to Development and testing;
- High level of technical English writing skills; and
- A Quick learner.
