Innovations from Dolby can be heard in consumer audio and video products, entertainment software, and professional sound applications, including music recording, broadcasting, and sound for motion pictures.
On a daily basis Dolby engineers are working with all kinds of audio signals for research, development and testing. In order to improve efficiency, collaboration and reusability of such signals you will be responsible for developing and extending a Test Signal Management System according to given requirements. This spans the complete software engineering process including design, programming, testing and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Familiarize with a complex Python-based web application using multiple storage backends (database, SCM).
- Analyzing given Test Signal Management System requirements, feature requests and bug reports and translating them into software design specifications in close collaboration with engineering team
- Planning and prioritizing software implementation tasks according to these software design specifications
- Working autonomously towards implementation of these tasks
Qualifications:
- Studies in computer science or comparable studies (Semester 5 or higher beneficial)
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Strong skills in at least one scripting language, ideally Python
- Familiar with command line working environment
- Highly motivated and with good organizational skills
- Good communication skills in English, German is advantageous
